What does this skill do?

The PageSpeed Skill queries Google's PageSpeed Insights v5 API to audit a website's actual performance on mobile and desktop. It extracts Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP, TTFB), CrUX field data, and Lighthouse lab metrics, and converts them into an actionable CSV file and an editorial PDF signed by Ricardo Xalma / costacx.com, with opportunities prioritized by actual impact (traffic × severity).

Core Web Vitals Audit
It measures LCP, CLS, INP, and TTFB by page and device, with an automatic assessment based on Google's official thresholds.
PDF Report for Clients
Generate an editorial PDF with a cover page, executive summary, traffic light table, and prioritized opportunities, signed by Ricardo Xalma / costacx.com.
Prioritization by Impact
Sort the pages by traffic × severity so that the ones that most affect users and the business are addressed first.
Bottleneck Diagnosis
Distinguish between server-side issues (high TTFB) and front-end issues (LCP, TBT, CLS) to target optimization efforts where they are needed.

Usage examples

📊 Comprehensive audit
Audit the performance of my website, example.com, on mobile and desktop, and generate the CSV and PDF files.
📄 Client Report
Generate a PageSpeed report in PDF format for the client using these 6 URLs: home, contact, services, blog, product1, product2.
🔍 Troubleshooting Slow Performance
Why is my site loading slowly? Analyze the Core Web Vitals and tell me if the problem is with the server or the front end.
🎯 Prioritization by Impact
Prioritize the pages with the worst LCP based on traffic impact, and give me the quick wins to fix them.

Features

Parallel access on mobile and desktop Run the PageSpeed Insights v5 API queries in parallel for both devices and save the raw JSON data.
CrUX Data vs. Laboratory Data Difference between real-world (CrUX) and laboratory (Lab) metrics, identifying the source to assess the validity of the diagnosis.
Operational CSV with verdict Generate a file with one row per page and device, including a rating (Critical, Poor, Needs Improvement, Good) and the main opportunity.
Signed editorial PDF Generate a professional report with a cover page, executive summary, traffic-light table, and prioritized opportunities, signed by Ricardo Xalma / costacx.com.
Prioritization by traffic volume × severity Sort opportunities by actual impact—not randomly—so that the pages with the most traffic and the worst performance are addressed first.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. The skill requires that the $PAGESPEED_API_KEY environment variable be set. You can get a free key in the Google Cloud Console.
Generating the PDF requires Jinja2 and WeasyPrint. If you don't have them installed, run: pip install jinja2 weasyprint --break-system-packages.
Yes. If there is no field data, the skill uses lab metrics (Lighthouse) and marks all rows as `metrica_origen=Lab`, indicating that this is a technical diagnosis, not a measured real-world experience.
Yes, but for a useful analysis, we recommend between 4 and 8 relevant internal URLs, preferably those with the highest traffic.
