What does this skill do?

The Unified Notifications Operations Skill centralizes and optimizes alerts from GitHub, Linear, local hooks, and the desktop into a single native feed with severity classification, source-to-channel routing, and deduplication. Design an action-oriented notification plan that reduces noise and prioritizes the events that truly warrant an interruption.

Land Survey
Map all event sources, current channels, existing hooks, duplicate routes, and silent failures in the workspace.
Severity Classification
Define which events are critical, high, medium, or low, and decide whether they should trigger an interruption, be grouped together, or simply be logged.
Routing Plan
For each actual need, specify the source, the control point, the format, the channel, and the follow-up action.
Consolidation of Duplicates
It identifies duplicate events across multiple systems and consolidates them into a canonical summary before adding new channels.

Usage examples

🔔 Consolidate Channels
I have GitHub PR alerts, Linear alerts, and CI webhooks coming in via email, Slack, and my desktop. Help me consolidate everything into a single workflow.
🚦 Classify severity
Sort my CI events, PR reviews, and issue changes by severity level and tell me which ones should be interrupted.
🔀 Design Routing
Create a source-to-channel routing plan: CI failures to immediate desktop alerts, PR reviews to daily Slack summaries.
📦 Remove duplicates
PR events are recorded in three different locations. Identify the duplicates and propose a canonical consolidation.

Features

List of Sources Detects all event sources, active channels, existing hooks, and duplicate routes in the workspace.
Severity Model Classify events as critical, high, medium, and low using clear criteria for interruption, grouping, or logging.
Intelligent Deduplication Consolidate duplicate events across multiple systems into a single, standardized summary before creating new channels.
Actionable Routing Plan Define the source, control port, format, channel, and action for each specific notification requirement.
Action-Oriented Design Specify what to keep, remove, merge, and build next to reduce noise and increase actionability.

Frequently asked questions

GitHub (PRs, CI), Linear (issues, updates), local hooks, desktop alerts, chat, and email. Any source that generates events in the workspace.
It is not required. The skill designs the notification policy based on the current settings. If you already have hooks or MCPs, the skill integrates them into the inventory.
It uses a four-level severity model (critical, high, medium, low) and consolidates duplicates. Low-value events, such as repeated successes, are automatically suppressed or grouped together.
Yes. The skill starts with an inventory of your current surface area and returns a structured document that you can apply immediately to your channels and hooks.
